Celebration dinner~~

Had a celebration dinner last evening... hosted by the 2 winners from the last SKC trial... Stanley and Kok Choon... Dinner at Master Crab near Buangkok MRT. Honestly i didnt even know there was such a nice shop selling crabs there.. very fresh... yum yum~~

It's really amazing how well our CD Trainer group is getting along... we've had several dinner and BBQ gatherings oredi... where there's people, there's always conflicts... but this doesn't seem to apply to our group at all... we are all very open and willing to share... heee :P

Well, hopefully there's more of these gatherings to come... and more of us winning the trials... and last but not the least, thanx for dinner, Stanley and Kok Choon!!

SKC Trial - 15th Feb 2009

Another long day yesterday at the Expo, think it's a trial we've participated so far with the most dogs in each category...

The Aussie judge yesterday was erm... quite "interesting"... many "uncommon rules" we have not experienced... no heeling patterns, no floor markings, and no "fixed" criterias i would say... her judging style yesterday I guess might be "an interesting topic" in dog forums... haha!!

Here goes the result for the day... Princeton passed Pre-Novice and Novice... Wenta is the Intermediate champion... and Lucky is now has a CD title under his belt... Congrats to all!!

Oh dear~~~

Final group training yesterday... Schnappi is, haizzz... in not good!! Besides her usual Distance Control prob, she had probs with Scent Discrimation and Send Away too.... oh dear dear~~~ Perhaps like Chris said, she is in a "state of denial"... perhaps Bb did too much of correction this week... perhaps she's really under stress... perhaps perhaps perhaps...

And so, the last few days before Sunday, Chris said cut away the correction, and Bb to correct his way of hand signalling... I also told Bb to use more TLC these few days... up to this state, can do means can do le...

Well just do whatever can be done and 听天由命 liao... who knows she might just "see light" and decides to do well... haha!!

p/s: Micole will be supporting all the 哥哥姐姐 from home instead :)... cuz i think she's causing a lot of distraction to the others... paisei everyone... really sorry for that... so everyone 加油！！

Declaration~~

After a big 乌龙, it's confirmed that Schnappi didn't pass the Open last trial... she did fail the Distance Control... as written in the latest Dogtalk... and the heel work was not good either... seems like the last judge was very particular about heel work... all dogs were commented with the heel work performance...

Oh well, we didn't expect to pass anyway.. haha!! honestly till now it has always been a mystery on why we get the cup... and i sometimes still ask Bb why...

Anyway the weird thing is SKC didn't even call or notify us of the mistake... now it puts us in a rather "embarrassed" situation. Nonetheless, we hv continued our training as usual since last trial... so CD or not previously, it's all over... Schnappi is still very herself.. play, eat, train, sleep... and we shall look forward and try out for this Sun... :D

Some updates...

Schnappi~~ Training in progress for the coming Sunday... but Distance Control still a worry... trying hard to make it more reliable in the last few days... Auto-sit also a little slow... and left turn still needs more practice... Last group training this Wednesday... keeping my fingers crossed that she'll be in the mood to perform that day...

Micole~~ Heat finishing... Seems to have good appetite these few days... changed her kibbles back to chicken-based and she seems to be eating well... i sure hope this will persists... sick of her pickiness... always give me headache on how to make her eat... sending her for grooming this Sat so that she can go and support Jie-jie in Expo... woohoo~~

Nope.. it's not a 4D number... it's 23 Jan... where little Mic has her first "auntie" visiting her... :P she's in her 2nd heat week liao... very naughty girl... i wrapped her with pampers and she kept tearing it off... fortunately she's gotten used to it now... so the "damage" is minimal... :) now she seems to be having diarrhoea thou... funny thing is her diet remains pretty much the same... so i also dunno what happened... will continue to monitor for a while and see if she needs a vet... Have plans to spay her in March or April... hopefully all will be fine... haven't been able to bring her for walks these 2 weeks... so she looks rather bored sometimes... :P

Also we need to cut up the pipes for the jumps... been sitting in the corner for past 2 weeks... next trial coming soon... in 2 weeks' time... the clock is ticking fast~~ i suddenly remembered the lo-hei wish Chris made... all to get CD or CDX by end of this year... hahaha!! a big challenge indeed~~

Chalet stay for the girls

Had a chalet stay last weekend... so we "smuggled" the girls in to stayover the 2 nights... Micole went over to check-in with us on the Friday... then we had a BBQ session with CD Trainers before we sneaked Schnappi in late in the night.

The girls are quite excited over the stay... and the next thing that really interest Schnappi are the number of cats that kept loitering outside our doors... :) we closed the glass doors, pulled the curtains but she kept pushing them back as the cats kept "challenging" her... hahaha!!! she was really agitated and kept pacing up and down trying to get to those cats!!

Overall the stayover was nice, and Bb was looking at whether he could get one in March... then we could celebrate Schnappi's birthday as well... she's turning 3 soon... and Micole is also turning 1 in April!! Time really flies~~~

Miller's stayover

Last weekend, Miller stayed over a couple of days as Richard and wife went off the Malaysia... he's basically a quiet dog that doesn't cause too much problems... but he caused our 2 girls turning crazy... omg!! the first night he's here... Micole kept barking and Schnappi also keep making noises... haha... these 2 girls really very "sticky glue"... once we go out of sight or if we pat Miller, they will buay tahan and start barking... i had to sleep on the sofa with Micole for the few nights because she kept barking late, then Schnappi on her bed in the room with Bb...

And so Miller went home on Wednesday... it was a rather "hectic" stayover because our 2 dogs were too possessive... :) overall though it was a brand new experience... we've never taken care of other people's dog... thou i wouldn't think of another opportunity so soon... :P

Looking back to 2008

The year's ending in 2 days time...

Looking back the past year, we've had Micole as an additional member in the family.. :) my sweetheart... grown bigger... heavier... and naughtier... :) she simply doesn't want me to comb her fur... she'll start struggling and biting the comb once it goes near her... *faint* and she's rather picky when it comes to food... now she's feeding on Cesar with kibbles... current flavour of the month is beef and vegetable :)

As for big girl Schnappi... her best accomplishment this year is her CD title from the last trials... we are extremely proud of her... though it came rather as a surprise... :P nevertheless, I would still consider her "well-trained"... whilst practising the jumps recently... we noticed that she still have this "play streak" in her... Trainer Chris was telling Bb that she's still not showing enuf "respect" for the handler... need to instill these into her more more more... :P we're planning to get some jumps set up ourselves so that we can practise more often... it's something different from the usual rigid obedience training... and we hope she can get some fun out of it and maybe can try out Jumpers in time to come...

Hope the girls will be healthy.. be good.. for the coming year... :)

Next Trial in Feb 15!!

Woo hoo!!! Heard the next trials is on Feb 15... Seems rather near hor... after minusing all the christmas lar, new year lar, cny lar... basically we're left with only around 7-8 weeks to train... woo hoo~~~

Dunno whether we can make it for Jumpers this time... coz Schnappi still not stable yet~~~ she still runs wild in during the jumps... to her, it seems like more play than work~~ :P

Nevertheless, we shall all do our best~~ hopefully we can all surpass our achievements in the last trials!!!
